‘The TALAkayan workshops and video series aim to make financial education more accessible to many.’
Tala Philippines has launched the award-winning TALAkayan seminar series as part of its global mission to enhance financial literacy. Developed in partnership with Empower and Transform (EAT), this initiative focuses on teaching Filipinos the core principles of personal finance and effective money management.
To expand its impact, Tala Philippines is transforming its popular workshop content into accessible, easy-to-understand digital resources. This effort aims to make financial education more inclusive and highlight its importance for all Filipinos. Every week, the company will post new videos on its social media platforms covering a variety of topics, from investment strategies and credit scores to inflation-busting tips and popular savings challenges.

Throughout the session, Ibañez emphasized that everyone stands to gain from a better understanding of personal finance. This aligns with Tala Philippines’ core message: financial education is a powerful tool for personal growth that should be available to everyone, regardless of their career, age, or background.
“You are not defined by when you started in your financial journey, but the steps you take to achieve progress,” Salve added.
Collaborating with Ms. Salve Ibañez through TALAkayan has shown how vital financial literacy is for daily life. By providing practical digital content, Tala Philippines is making money management much more approachable for the average Filipino. It is empowering to have vital lessons—ranging from credit education to simple saving hacks—available with just a few taps on a screen.
Tala Philippines executives and Salve Ibañez were joined by members of the media and digital creators to celebrate the workshop's success. This initiative serves as a direct response to the growing demand for financial guidance in the Philippines. So far, the program has reached over 1,200 participants—including OFWs, farmers, jeepney drivers, and micro-entrepreneurs—across 13 workshops held in Singapore and various Philippine provinces like Laguna, Quezon, and Nueva Ecija.
“Our goal with the TALAkayan workshops and video series is to make financial education more accessible to many. Money management and other related concepts aren’t usually taught in schools but it’s fundamental in leveling the playing field and giving everyone a fair shot despite the inequalities we may face every day,” said Missy Santos, Marketing Director of Tala Philippines.
By improving access to credit and promoting financial literacy, Tala provides people with the tools necessary to thrive both personally and economically.
