Prior to its release, Rolling Stone awarded BELOVED with its rare and coveted ‘4-star’ rating, noting its commitment to ‘orchestral’ R&B. “Rich and authentic, Beloved feels indebted to Al Green, Philly soul, the Jackson 5 and Blaxploitation soundtracks.”
