SM City Marilao sealed the partnership with Go Negosyo, Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for the transport sector inoculation drive in Bulacan. Close to 200 transport workers were given AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab yesterday at SM City Marilao.

Over 200 individuals were inoculated yesterday during a special vaccination effort targeting the transport sector in Bulacan.

 The initiative dubbed “Let’s Go Bakuna” is a joint effort of Go Negosyo, Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and in partnership with SM City Marilao, where the vaccination program was held.


The recipients that mostly consist of PUV drivers undergone screening and counseling before vaccination. They are also monitored and expected to return a couple of weeks for their second jab.


Kimberly Afundar from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure shares that the vaccination drive hopes to help the transport sector to recover while re-establishing commuter confidence in using public transportation.


Let’s Go Bakuna will also be rolled out in SM City Baliwag.

100 Days of Caring. The campaign aims to honor and give back to everyday heroes like
delivery riders, essentials workers, and frontliners this Christmas season.

“Christmas may not be as festive as the revelries of pre-pandemic times but it can be more meaningful” shares SM City Marilao Mall Manager Engr. Emmanuel Gatmaitan. “This campaign is close to our heart because SM’s shoe gift giving signifies our humble beginning, our legacy, and our pledge in making our communities better; after all SM started out with shoes” Engr. Gatmaitan added.

Delivery Riders from Mervilla Toda in Marilao, Rambol and Pagala Toda in Baliwag and PC Joda Transport and Pultopa Inc. in Pulilan arrived in batches at a time, each being sized and fitted for their own pair of shoes.

According to Allan Eugenio of Mervilla Toda, riders typically struggle to buy shoes required for work. Eugenio also added that riders often use slippers because some lack resources to buy shoes.

100 Days of Caring is one of the many philanthropic efforts of SM Supermalls that aims to honor and give back to everyday heroes like delivery riders, essentials workers, and frontliners. The campaign also features a hundred days of spreading love, thoughtfulness, and care for one another and for the communities that surround SM Malls.

Apart from 100 pair of shoes, delivery riders likewise receive towels and other items for sanitation and hygiene
