Hair loss is caused by various reasons: heredity, nutritional, hormonal, chemical and mechanical trauma, pregnancy, the excess dosage of vitamins A, D, E, and K and stress, among others. Whatever the reasons, hair loss may happen to anybody.
People struggling with hair fall, thinning hair and baldness have tried countless ways to regrow their hair, from drinking supplements to applying herbal hair products. All of these used in vain to not see any improvement in their hair condition.
Naturally, hair goes back to its growth anagen phase once the causes of falling and thinning hair are removed. But it is only with Minoxidil Regroe that there is assurance of stopping falling and thinning hair while initiating the healthy growth of hair.

What is Minoxidil Regroe?
Minoxidil Regroe is a topical hair grower treatment that truly stimulates hair growth of your hair follicles. Minoxidil Regroe works in three ways.
First, Minoxidil relaxes the blood vessels around the hair follicles promoting better oxygenation and blood flow to your scalp and hair follicles – making the environment healthy for hair cells to grow.
Second, only Minoxidil is proven to directly divide and multiply hair cells that produce longer and thicker hair. Improvement of the hair density is also evident after months of use.
Lastly, Minoxidil suppresses androgen action. Minoxidil is an antiandrogen that suppresses dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for hair loss in hereditary alopecia.
Minoxidil Regroe acts like coffee to the hair follicles, waking them up from a resting phase to an active growth anagen phase. However, it takes time to regrow hair and it varies from person to person or case to case basis. Minoxidil Regroe should be continuously used to see visible results and maintain the growth of healthy hair. With Minoxidil, the hair growth phase can continue from two to three years.
Investigative researches done in America and Europe showed that nothing can be at par with the wonders of Minoxidil. There is no discovery that could equal the works of Minoxidil when it comes to treating falling and thinning hair for the past 40 years.
Although unseen with the naked eye, hair will start to grow on the first day of use. Ideally, with twice (2x) a day application of Regroe, new, longer and thicker hair growth will be visible within two (2) months of continuous use. The full effect of Minoxidil Regroe can be achieved within six (6) months of continued usage. Tolerable mild irritation and itching may occur during the growing process of the hair.
Minoxidil Regroe is safe to use as it is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the Philippines and the US. This is the only real hair grower in the market.
With Minoxidil Regroe, reclaim your crown and wear it confidently! TRUST AND USE ONLY THE REAL HAIR GROWER. For more information regarding Minoxidil Regroe, visit www.regroe.com.ph

Mang Inasal turns 15 today. Since it opened its first store in Iloilo in 2003, this quick service restaurant has grown from a local must-visit store to the favorite hangout of ‘solb’ eaters throughout the country.
‘Solb’ eaters are those who go for delicious, satisfying Chicken Inasal, without qualms of eating it with their bare hands and usually with unli rice, doused with their favorite mix of chicken oil, soy sauce, vinegar, calamansi and chili.
“Seeing solb eaters feast in a Mang Inasal store is such a heartwarming sight!” said Mang Inasal Strategic Business Unit Head Jojo P. Subido. “It validates all the hard work we have put into running a restaurant whose menu carries superior tasting food and whose crew go the extra mile in delighting the customers.”
Proud of its evolution
Looking back at how the business has evolved, Mang Inasal takes pride in becoming the leading grilled chicken based on occasion and value shares in Metro Manila’s branded eat out category, a claim supported by a recent Kantar study.
“We are, indeed, very happy to note that Mang Inasal was able to reach this position,” Subido said. “We could not have done it without the support of all our valuable stakeholders – from franchisees and employees to our suppliers and customers.
“We cannot thank you enough for all your support through the years. With our continued partnership, we look forward to more milestones to achieve, both here and abroad,” Subido said.
Among the businesses under the Jollibee Foods Corporation, Mang Inasal is one of those who have grown significantly.
Team spirit and customer focus
“Teamwork drove such growth, the same spirit that enabled the Company to overcome the usual challenges confronting startups,” Subido shared.
“We painstakingly established a customer-centric mindset across our organization that prompted everyone to strictly comply with standards of food quality, workplace safety, and responsive service,” Subido said.
By setting in place an organization that provided strong manufacturing, restaurant services, and research and development support, Mang Inasal was likewise able to continually develop the consistent superior quality and taste of its flagship products -- Chicken Inasal and Pinoy Halo-Halo -- and elevate the customers' experience with the Brand.
Sustained business partnership
Mang Inasal also helped strengthen the capabilities of its partner Franchisees – who comprise 95 percent of the Company’s network of stores which this year, crossed the 500 mark. Apart from close coordination and monitoring, Mang Inasal saw to it that the Franchisees enjoy effective marketing, quality management and operational support.
In 2015 and 2017, respectively, Mang Inasal was recognized as the Outstanding Filipino Franchise in the Food Large Scale Category by the Department of Trade and Industry and the Philippine Franchise Association. Such feat earned for Mang Inasal a Hall of Fame distinction from the same award-giving organizations.
Perhaps the most tangible accomplishment of Mang Inasal is the improvement of its Brand image.
While it retained the same logo throughout the last 15 years to facilitate Brand recognition and recall, Mang Inasal did not leave any stone unturned in establishing solid positioning for its flagship and core products.
The irresistible claims of the “2-in-1 sa Laki, Nuot sa Ihaw Sarap” Chicken Inasal, the “So Creamy, So Sarap” Pinoy Halo-Halo, and the “Sizzling, Meaty Sarap” Pork Sisig further enticed the market not only to try these products, but to keep on coming back for more.
Strong brand image
Another factor, of course, has been the ‘unlimited rice’ offering that the customers have come to associate with dining at Mang Inasal.
Supported by deliberate, sustained, and integrated on-ground activations that engaged customers all throughout the archipelago, as well as the online promotions that captured the attention of Millennials and Generation Z netizens, Mang Inasal has become a leading player in the branded eat out category.
“We are happy to note that Mang Inasal is slowly getting to where it aspires to be: a strong national icon,” Subido said. “We still have so much to do but the formidable team spirit we share with our various stakeholders will see us through as we intend to stay in the market for the long haul!”
Mang Inasal intends to further expand its network and hit 1000 stores within the next five years, while maintaining a predominantly franchised mix. Also afoot are plans to enter the international market.

The trio of radio disc jockeys Slick Rick (Eric Virata), Tony Toni (Tony Bueno) and Sam YG (Sam Gogna) have made Magic 89.9’s Boys Night Out (BNO) a legendary radio talk show in the early evening time slot, especially with their crazy antics, uniquely challenging games with celebrity guests, and the most candid opinions about love, sex and anything in between.
So, it was no surprise that the “bad boys of radio” have actively taken on an advocacy that is within their “area of expertise”, yet one that tackles an issue brought about by unprotected sex—HIV infection.
As advocates of Durex Philippines’ “Always Come Prepared”, a campaign geared towards raising awareness on human immunodeficiency virus infection, especially among young adults, the trio have gone out of their way to engage their listeners about the dangers of the virus and what infected people can do to get treatment.
“The HIV/AIDS infection is a global health problem that started decades ago. Yet today, its prevalence is still growing and now affects young Filipino adults. This is what convinced us to help out, especially since we realized the potential impact of us talking to our listeners and fans about this concern,” said Tony Toni.
Latest figures from the HIV/AIDS & Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) Registry Data indicate that 31 new HIV infections are diagnosed daily and 1 of every 3 new cases are from 15 to 24-year-old individuals.
Aside from raising awareness about HIV in their radio show, the Boys Night Out trio also visited the Far Eastern University and Lyceum of the Philippines University and partnered with the FEU Central Student Organization and the LPU Manila Central Student Government for a sex education and HIV awareness talk among thousands of students. Known for their antics, the Boys Night Out trio and Durex share the same advocacy to remove the taboo on conversations about sex and HIV to raise awareness about the issue and potentially save lives.

MANILA, Philippines – ‘Day one at the Convenience Store, here goes nothing’. These nine words are all the exposition readers need to kick off The Convenience Store, an ongoing original series that is fast becoming an internet favorite. The series revolves around Eddie, a hapless writer left to his own devices at his banal day-job in a convenience store.
“I think of Eddie as a regular young person who has discovered a dream, but hasn’t yet discovered how to reach it,” shares Hengtee Lim, creator of The Convenience Store. “He’s stuck in a kind of purgatory and trying to make the best of it.”

A Look Inside The Convenience Store
Since its launch, the story has become a reader-favorite on Twitter and Everyst, a social fiction app. Everyst presents stories that are told through tweets written by the characters themselves, allowing readers to enjoy fictional pieces that are uniquely character-driven. The Convenience Store is one of the leading stories on the app today.
The Convenience Store is a series inspired by Lim’s experiences working in retail. “I thought a convenience store location would be funny and relatable. I was surprised by the things I saw and experienced while on the other side of the customer service experience.”
Yet even then, the continuous development of the series is not without its limitations. “My own retail experience only covered enough material for the first couple of episodes, so the creative process now involves asking a lot of ‘what if’ questions and following them to see if they’re funny.”
Telling Stories Through Social Fiction
Because stories on Everyst are delivered straight to the audience, many readers have begun to communicate with the cast from The Convenience Store through Twitter. This is what makes social fiction truly unique: not only can audiences easily digest a single series, but they are now empowered with a way to interact with their favorite characters on a very personal level.
Lim seems to enjoy leaving interactions at the hands of his characters, sharing, “I leave that with Eddie, Trevor, and Shifty. They seem to have it covered without issue. Our readers are a good group who help give Eddie’s jokes a new dimension by riffing on them- this makes it so easy.” But anyone familiar with the tone of the stories are pretty sure it’s him!
With this unique approach to storytelling, Everyst has empowered young writers such as Hengtee Lim with a platform to tell exciting and interactive stories. “Compared to traditional fiction, it’s new and it’s different. We’re still learning how to do it as we go; this makes it flexible, fun, and challenging, in equal parts.”
New Artist on The Convenience Store
With so much attention coming to Eddie’s world, the team began to introduce new artists to its burgeoning roster of talent. Local artist, Bapogichi is one of the newest additions to the Everyst creative team, working alongside Hengtee Lim, who’ll begin taking The Convenience Store’s art in a new, more polished direction.
Bapogichi’s love for illustrating began at kindergarten. Over the years, they continued to foster their craft as an illustrator and soon found an audience online through social media sites such as Tumblr. Unfortunately, due to pressure, Bapogichi abandoned their love for art in favor of a medical career.
“I thought being a doctor was what I wanted, but that eventually I decided to quit to do art full-time,” shares Bapogichi.
Since their transition to a full-time artist, Bapogichi has become one of the most prolific young illustrators on Twitter in the Philippines. The recognition enabled them to begin work on Everyst and soon joined The Convenience Store’s creative team.
“Everyst gives readers a very unique storytelling method. It’s fun, and less pressure on the artist,” says Bapogichi. “Since there’s a growing demographic of young, nerdy adults in the workplace, I think series like The Convenience Store represents people today quite nicely. It’s relatable!”
Eddie & The Future of Everyst
Upon the debut of The Convenience Store, Eddie has become one of the most popular characters on Everyst that also exist on Twitter. His popularity was evident by the turnout of fans at a number of local comic and anime conventions.
“It’s surprising, to be honest,” shares Hengtee Lim. “I want to think that Eddie is relatable to all of us: we’re trying to reach for what we want and trying to make the most of what we’ve got. Life isn’t easy, but you take the good when it’s there and you keep dreaming.”
This is why so many readers follow Eddie and his everyday misadventures. There’s an Eddie inside each and every one of us who has tasted victory and defeat and lived to laugh about it. Any emotion we’ve felt is easily channeled through his experiences. Combined with the way Filipino audiences passionately connect with characters, it won’t be long before Eddie and his gang of misfits become synonymous with Filipinos coming of age at the end of the aughts.

The
2017 musical film was a smash hit amongst viewers around the world —
but more than just it’s catchy songs and riveting performances, The
Greatest Showman had
plenty to teach audiences about success and happiness.

With
a star-studded cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle
Williams, and Zendaya, the film is loosely based on the life of
entertainer and visionary P.T Barnum and how he created the Barnum &
Bailey Circus. The film is set in the 19th
century and allows viewers to follow Barnum’s pursuit of creating
the ‘greatest show on Earth’ as well as the struggles,
characters, and triumphs that he encounters along the way.
The
film was widely praised and loved by audiences and critics alike,
grossing over $430 million worldwide and received a Golden Globe
nomination for Best Actor, an Academy Award nomination for Best
Original song. The film also went on to win a Golden Globe in the
same category for ‘This Is Me”, arguably one of the film’s
biggest songs. Together with the movie’s incredible production
value and dazzling performances by the cast, it was indeed on of
2017’s biggest hits.
But
more than great music and performances, The
Greatest Showman resonated
with millions around the globe because of its emotionally captivating
and heart-tugging story. The message it sent out to viewers truly hit
home and moved plenty of people — regardless of whether or not
you’re a circus entertainer, an entrepreneur, or simply just a
father. Here are five of the greatest life lessons that The
Greatest Showman taught
its viewers. (Some mild spoilers may follow!)

1.
Dreaming big is important for yourself, but even more important when
you do it for others

There
is no shortage of movies that talk about dreaming big and focus on
the importance of following your dreams. However, The
Greatest Showman doesn’t
only stop at showcasing how critical it is to have big ambitions —
it also shows viewers that when you follow your dreams in order to
help others, it makes a big difference. In the film, P.T Barnum
pushes for this circus to help his family, his cast, and the
audiences. In fact, one of his most popular real-life quotes is: “The
noblest art is that of making others happy.” And it was this drive
that fuelled him to make his circus, indeed, the greatest show on
earth.
2.
However, getting blinded by your dreams can cause you to lose sight
of what is truly important

People
often get caught up in their obsessions with fame and fortune and
this often ends up becoming their downfall. When Barnum gets too
preoccupied with touring and making his success bigger, he ends up
neglecting his family both at home and at the circus. He dismisses
their feelings and almost drives them away. This shows viewers that
in the end, it’s important to prioritize those who will by you at
the end of the day.

3.
Be unapologetic about who you are — shame will only hold you back

In
the song ‘This Is Me’, the hit track that won the film a Golden
Globe for best original song, the circus performers sing about how
despite all the judgment and hate that have come their way, they’re
still standing firm and not apologizing for who they are. The
performance is led and sang by Lettie Lutz (Keala Settle) whose raw
emotion and vocal prowess brings the song home. The anthem alone
sends a powerful message about how being ashamed of who you are does
you no good — you must love yourself as you are and the rest will
follow.
4.
Taking risks and leaving your comfort zone is important

A
big theme across the film is how taking risks can be scary, but they
can also pay off. Barnum was a huge risk-taker and this can be seen
across all his decisions in the film — from pursuing his wife, to
hiring his cast, and even to buying his circus venue. Barnum
eventually persuades Phillip Carlyle (Zac Efron) to take a risk on
him as well in one of the movie’s most entertaining performances.
Barnum is proof that with the right calculations, taking risks is
important in success. After all, you miss all the shots that you
don’t take.
5.
Happiness comes from within and sometimes what gets in the way of
that is ourselves

Plenty
of characters in The
Greatest Showman were
at some point extremely unhappy for various reasons — they were
ashamed of themselves, discontented with their lives, struggling to
conform to society, or just hung up with the past. In the end, most
of them realized that the cause of their unhappiness were actually
themselves and they had to let go of some of those negative thoughts
and self-imposed rules in order to be free. There will be
people who judge us, there will be limits we can’t always break,
and situations that are beyond our control, but it’s how you choose
to react to these things that can really change how happy we truly
are.

Fine Arts students are challenged to visualize legacy in a new light. As explained by the VAC 33 organizers, “One is never too young to think about legacy. In a rapidly changing world that is increasingly being driven by younger generations, we need to be more aware of the impact that our day-to-day life decisions—and the values we hold dear—will have on the future shape of our society and the sustainability of our planet.”
Aside from adherence to the theme, submitted paintings will be judged on the basis of visual composition, originality and their suitability as cover of the print telephone directories of PLDT (White Pages) and DPC (Yellow Pages).
All entries must be submitted by 4pm of March 1, 2019 at the DPC Main Office, 2322 Don Chino Roces Avenue Extension, Makati City.

A fresh aspect of this year’s VAC is the introduction of a tandem DPC-PLDT Visual Arts Forum (VAF) Series. “The VAC has always been about supporting young Filipino artists in their formative years in the academe,” explained Chiqui Abad, Head of Home Customer Care at PLDT. “The companion forum series we are launching early next year is an exciting new avenue by which PLDT and DPC would like to deepen this advocacy and our engagement with Fine Arts schools and students nationwide.”
Conceived as a three-part forum series on salient art topics, featuring well-known artists and resource persons, the inaugural VAF will be hosted by a Metro Manila-based school in January 2019. Two other forums will be held in Cebu and Davao in January or February 2019.
Fine Arts students and faculty of the host school and neighboring schools will be invited to participate in each forum. To enable other schools nationwide to join the discussion online, each talk will be livestreamed via Facebook Live powered by PLDT broadband facilities.
