There is always something about the final stretch of the year. The days bring more reasons to get together, plans to look forward to, and moments worth making time for.

This is why Samsung Week 2026 is happening from October 12 to November 08, Samsung’s largest global promotion of the year, happening in over 60 countries. Part of its anniversary celebrations, this is also Samsung’s way of thanking loyal customers for their continued support.

Discover how Samsung’s latest AI-powered innovations can help you live smarter, enjoy everyday convenience, and get more from your next upgrade, with exclusive benefits on Samsung.com.

For workdays that don’t always happen at a desk

As work and life continue to move between home, office, and everywhere in between, Samsung’s latest devices make it easier to stay productive.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra makes multitasking more seamless with its expansive 8-inch main display and Multi Window, while the Galaxy Buds4 Pro helps users stay focused with active noise cancellation and clearer voice capture for calls and meetings. At home or in the office, the Smart Monitor further connects the experience through Multi Control, while AI Picture Optimizer automatically adjusts visuals for a more comfortable viewing experience.

For staying in motion, even when life gets busy

With more plans to look forward to this season, there are also more reasons to keep moving and make time for wellness. For those fitting fitness into their everyday routines, Samsung’s connected devices bring smarter tracking and insights to help turn every workout into more meaningful progress.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2, paired with the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy Buds4 Pro, brings smarter tracking and insights to workouts. Its Trail Run Mode feature provides real-time elevation and cumulative ascent and descent, giving runners more context as they move through changing terrain. Meanwhile, Samsung Health on the Galaxy S26 Ultra brings together information such as heart rate, calories, and workout duration, alongside features like Fitness Index and Daily Cardio Load to help you better understand your activity and recovery.

For the kitchen that becomes the heart of the celebration

Few things bring Filipinos together quite like food. Whether preparing an everyday meal or getting ready for a holiday spread, Samsung’s Bespoke AI appliances bring intelligence into the kitchen to make cooking more intuitive.

The Bespoke AI Refrigerator uses AI Vision Inside to identify ingredients and help suggest recipes, while the Bespoke AI Oven uses AI Pro Cooking to recognize ingredients, optimize cooking settings, and monitor food as it cooks. With the Galaxy Z Fold8, users can also capture and share their creations through its 50MP camera and Dual Recording.

Make home your favorite place to unwind

After a day of getting things done, Samsung brings the same intelligence and connected experience into the moments spent relaxing at home.

The Micro RGB enhances the viewing experience through AI-powered picture optimization and Glare Free technology, while AI Gaming Optimizer adjusts settings based on the game genre. Paired with the Q-Series 11.1.4 inch Soundbar, it creates a more immersive entertainment experience. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, meanwhile, uses AI OptiWash to detect factors such as load weight, fabric type, and soil level to help optimize wash cycles.

CDO Foodsphere earned two Excellence Awards at the Philippine Quill Awards for programs that brought its 50-year story to life, alongside a Merit Award for CDO Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino, reflecting the strength of a brand built over decades.

CDO Foodsphere Inc. was highly recognized and won multiple awards in their respective categories. Representatives from CDO’s 50th Anniversary organizing team and the CDO Funtastyk brand team celebrated with President and CEO Jerome Ong (third from left) who emphasized how the hard work and dedication of CDO employees come into fruition in moments like these.

The Philippine Quill Awards recognize excellence in business communication, honoring organizations and programs that demonstrate strategic and effective communication.

“For 50 years, CDO has had the privilege of being part of the lives and tables of Filipino families. But reaching this milestone also reminded us that our story has never been ours alone. It was built with our employees, our partners, our communities, and the consumers who have trusted our brands through the years,” said Jerome Ong, President and CEO of CDO Foodsphere.

CDO’s “One Story. Three Experiences. Fifty Years of CDO Foodsphere” received an Excellence Award for Special and Experiential Events under the Communication Skills Division.

The team that organized CDO’s 50th Anniversary Celebration “One Story. Three Experiences. Fifty Years of CDO Foodsphere” won an Excellence Award – Special and Experiential Events, under the Communication Skills Division. The award is a testament to all the work and dedication the team made to ensure the success of CDO’s milestone year. (From L-R, Gale Abad, Pia Mella, Jay Romero, Jerome Ong, Patricia Magbanua)

Rather than mark its golden anniversary with a single celebration, CDO created three distinct experiences for its stakeholders — opening its Malvar manufacturing facility to media, hosting around 2,200 customers, suppliers, banking partners, government stakeholders, and influencers at two celebrations at the SMX Convention Center for its 50th anniversary, and more than 4,000 CDO employees from across the country for its internal anniversary celebration and inaugural Golden Spoon Awards, recognizing outstanding and long-serving employees.

The media plant visit also became the starting point for CDO’s 50th Anniversary Media Relations Program, which earned a second Excellence Award under the Communication Management Division, extending CDO’s anniversary story to a wider audience.

“We believe one of the best ways to understand CDO is to experience the business firsthand. We wanted our guests to meet the people behind the brands, see how our products are made, and understand the values that have guided us for five decades,” said Patricia Magbanua, CDO Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications.

CDO Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino’s “Battle of the Best: The Real #1” also received a Merit Award for Marketing, Advertising and Brand Communication under the Communication Management Division, reinforcing its market leadership as the country’s #1 tocino brand.

Teachers in Muntinlupa are exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can help make everyday learning more accessible to students with disabilities, from communicating with a nonverbal learner to providing real-time captions and creating visual materials for young children.

Through ‘AI for Accessibility’, a training initiative under PLDT and Smart’s #KonektedforInclusionprogram, Special Needs Education and general education teachers from schools and institutions across Muntinlupa learned how AI-powered accessibility tools can address some of the challenges they encounter in their classrooms and communities.

“Technology becomes more meaningful when it responds to real needs,” said Stephanie V. Orlino, AVP and Head of Stakeholder Engagement at PLDT and Smart. “By working with teachers who understand the day-to-day realities of students with disabilities, we can help bring digital tools closer to the classroom and, ultimately, to the students and families who can benefit from them.”

Conducted by PLDT and Smart together with ATRIEV, in partnership with The Birthright Educators Foundation Inc., the workshop introduced participants to assistive technology such as Seeing AI, Live Transcribe, Speech Assistant AAC, Avaz AAC, Gemini Notebook and other applications that can support communication, learning and everyday activities.

Rather than treating AI as simply another technology to learn, participants were encouraged to look at how these tools could respond to specific needs among their students.

“I have a student who is nonverbal and has difficulty communicating,” said Mary Ann Dalo, a Special Needs Education teacher. “Speech Assistant could give that student another way to express themselves.”

She also saw potential in Live Transcribe, which converts spoken words into text in real time and could help students who are deaf or hard of hearing, particularly in situations where teachers or classmates may not know sign language.

The workshop also broadened the teachers’ understanding of who can benefit from accessible technology. Zenith Gofredo of the DepEd Inclusive Learning Resource Center in Muntinlupa said AI can provide additional support not only to people with visual disabilities but to anyone who encounters barriers in learning or communication.

“One of the things I learned is that AI is not only for people who are blind. It can also help anyone who is struggling and needs additional support,” she said. Gofredo plans to share the lessons with fellow teachers and emphasizes the importance of bringing parents into the conversation.

For preschool teacher Danielle Abrasaldo, AI can also help address a more basic classroom need – creating visual learning materials for young children, “I realized that we can really use AI to teach children, not just children with special needs, but children in general. Preschoolers are very visual learners, so these tools can help us make our lessons more engaging and accessible.”

She also said that using AI can create templates that can be saved and reused when needed instead of repeatedly drawing and photocopying materials.

Other participants saw applications beyond the classroom. Jb Alexis Alambro, who works in early childhood education in Muntinlupa, explored how NotebookLM could help create visual materials for young learners, while Live Transcribe could provide real-time captions during meetings with parents and families.

The experience also encouraged participants to introduce accessibility tools to their students and help them understand how technology can support people with different needs.

“I was amazed by the tools we learned, especially Seeing AI, because I saw how it can help people with visual disabilities in their daily lives,” said Kimberly Raye Fernandez of The Birthright Educators Foundation Inc. “I want to explore these tools further and introduce them to my students so they can become more aware of technology that can also help their classmates.”

The participants also recognized that introducing AI in schools requires teachers to first understand the tools themselves. They plan to test these innovations, identify which ones are most useful for their students, and share their experiences with fellow educators and parents.

The initiative is part of PLDT and Smart’s #KonektedforInclusion program, which harnesses technology to help underrepresented sectors gain greater access to learning and livelihood opportunities. It also reinforces the PLDT Group’s commitment to helping the country achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals particularly SDG 10 on reducing inequality. [END]

The October 16 benefit show brings together friends and fellow musicians to help cover Echo’s medical expenses and rehabilitation following a stroke

MANILA, Philippines — The Filipino music community is coming together for “Alingawngaw Para Kay Echo,” a fundraising gig for Echo Singson, a longtime fixture in the local music scene who is recovering from a stroke.

Echo has long been part of the Itchyworms family, with ties dating back to when his older brother, Chino, joined. In 1999, he co-founded Boldstar with Jazz Nicolas, Marie Jamora, and Justin Sunico.

Over the years, Echo has worn many hats in the industry, including host, sound technician, production assistant, and lighting crew member. Apart from his behind-the-scenes work, he has remained a valued presence in the Filipino indie music community as both an active participant and supporter.

On September 19, Echo suffered a stroke while hosting a March of the Penguins gig at Mow’s. He was rushed to East Avenue Medical Center, where he received medical care before being discharged. As he continues his recovery, he has shown small signs of improvement, offering hope to his family, friends, and colleagues.

In response, members of the music community have teamed up for “Alingawngaw Para Kay Echo,” a benefit gig on October 16 at 123 Block in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City. Ebe Dancel, Urbandub, The Itchyworms, The Ronnies, and The Revisors are joining forces for an evening of music in support of someone who has given so much to the industry.

All proceeds from the fundraising gig will go directly to Echo for his medical expenses and rehabilitation. Every contribution, every presence, and every expression of encouragement can make a meaningful difference.

As Echo continues his fight toward recovery, his friends and colleagues are rallying around him with one shared message: he is not alone.

Tickets to Alingawngaw Para Kay Echo are available at the venue on the day of the event.
