Step into a career of income, independence and impact

Leaders from the Agila Financial Team General Insurance Agency share their

purpose-driven journey to win in life during InLife’s Business Opportunity Forum.

An effective way to start a conversation about insurance is not by selling a product, but by sharing a real story. Since many Filipinos are hesitant about insurance, InLife financial advisors talk about their personal experiences to explain the value of financial security and the purpose behind the career.

During the recent InLife Business Opportunity Forum in Iloilo, leaders from the Agila Financial Team General Insurance Agency shared their journey to win in life.

Sam Booc, a three-time qualifier of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), a prestigious global association of top-performing life insurance and financial services professionals, left her acting career to become a financial advisor.

She explained three important I’s, namely, income, independence, and impact as she asked a few questions: “With your income now, are you living or just surviving? With time, are you making your days count or just counting your days? When it comes to impact, does your life matter or are you just a head count?”

As a financial advisor, she enjoys unlimited income, work-life balance, and fulfillment in helping others–all at the same time. “There is no age, education, or capital requirement to become a financial advisor. On top of the commissions, I travel the world for free. In my quest for success, fulfillment, and happiness, the industry awards I received meant that I’ve helped others achieve financial security,” she said.

Share your story

At only 22 years old, Princess Cecile Gurrea has explored more than 22 countries and enjoyed financial security, thanks to her parents, Celix and Mercy, who are both long-time InLife financial advisors.

A career as a financial advisor—formerly known as an insurance agent—may not be a familiar path to many. But Gurrea said just as an investigation agent solves crimes, an insurance agent or financial advisor helps solve the customers’ financial problems through planning.

“The best way to start conversations about insurance with most Filipinos who are unfamiliar and uncomfortable with the topic is by telling your own story, not by selling. When you truly believe and experience the value of financial security, people will feel your sincerity, and they will listen and trust you,” she said.

Never too late to build your dream

Rhoie Allan Yncierto never believed in insurance until the pandemic became his turning point, leading him to leave network marketing and pursue the financial advisor career.

“With InLife, I finally experienced income sustainability,” Yncierto said, reflecting on his previous business ventures selling toothpaste, sanitary napkins, and milk tea.

Today, he is one of InLife's top unit managers with the highest number of financial advisor recruits. "It's never too late to start. Build your dream and create a better tomorrow," he said.
