Video Streaming of the Acer-Sponsored LoL World Finals Gets Over 880 Million Views



The 2016 League of Legends (LoL) World Championships recently concluded with a bang at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Acer was in on all the action as an official sponsor of the eSports event, where it supplied over 100 Predator XB241H monitors for equipping the professional practice rooms and stages, displaying all the excitement during the matches. As a part of the sponsorship, the Acer logo was prominently featured throughout the venue and on the live video streaming of all the matches. In addition to approximately 20,000 people at the Staples Center, the live video streaming of the event received over a staggering 8801 million views. Besides this year’s LoL World Championships, Acer is also the official sponsor of the 2016 LoL All-Star Event to be held from December 8-12 in Barcelona. The 2016 LoL World Championships is among a series of strategic eSports sponsorships it has undertaken in 2016 and the biggest one to date. Over the summer, Predator XB241H was named as the official gaming monitor of Intel Extreme Masters Season 11, which will conclude in Katowice, Poland in early March 2017. In China, Acer sponsored team EDG, one of the finalists at the 2016 LoL World Championships, and in Malaysia Acer sponsored the Mineski Southeast Asian Championship.
