September 10, 2026 – Since its introduction in 2024, the Next Generation Toyota Tamaraw has continued to deliver its promise to be the vehicle of choice for versatility. Its highly configurable platform is meant to be customized according to the needs and lifestyles of any business owner or individual. From passenger and cargo transport to refrigerated logistics and purpose-built mobile businesses, the Tamaraw can serve a wide range of uses depending on operational requirements. Paired with the proven Toyota QDR (quality, durability and reliability) and trusted aftersales service, it truly is the vehicle of choice for daily business operations.
This coming week, Toyota will demonstrate the versatility of the Next Generation Tamaraw across 4 events in Metro Manila and in Cebu. From September 9 to 12, Tamaraw will participate in the Asia Food Expo (AFEX) at the World Trade Center showcasing different business possibilities in the food and beverage industry.
On September 10 -13 at the IEC Convention Center Cebu, the Tamaraw will be at PHILBEX Cebu showcasing the vehicle as a work horse in the building and construction industry. Guests can see and experience the vehicle through test drives during this event.
Moreover, this weekend from September 12 - 13, the local creative community at the annual PURVEYR Fair will get to experience for the first time, a Tamaraw GL Dropside DJ booth. On the same dates, a Tamaraw GL Dropside can also be found on display at the Die Cast PH Grandparents Pit Stop event at Cash & Carry Makati, placing the Tamaraw in the diecast collector event, for collectors to see and take inspiration from.
Guests can go to any of the 4 events where Tamaraw will make its appearance and be able to find something about the Tamaraw that can pique their interest.
Different configurations for different business requirements
At the AFEX, a trade show focused on food processing, packaging, handling machinery, equipment, and technology, Toyota is featuring four configurations: the Tamaraw Utility Van, Tamaraw GL Dropside, Tamaraw Wing Van, and Tamaraw Ref Van. On the other hand, the Philippine Building Construction Expo Cebu 2026 or PHILBEX Cebu will also see a Tamaraw GL Dropside variant, with test drives also being available. Recognizing the rapidly expanding construction and design sector in Cebu, PHILBEX Cebu is an event that continues to drive the Cebuano construction and design industry

The two events are a perfect platform for the Tamaraw, highlighting its role as a nation building vehicle, allowing aspiring and current business owners to see the Tamaraw’s potential in being an integral part of operations in business industries.
Taking the Next Generation Tamaraw into more specialized applications
The Next Generation Tamaraw takes on a different character at PURVEYR Fair, where two units will demonstrate applications beyond conventional passenger and cargo transport. The two-day gathering of independent Filipino brands, creatives, and communities will see a Tamaraw GL Dropside converted into a DJ booth and a pop-up flower store, using the vehicle’s open rear section as the foundation for two very different mobile setups.
On September 12, the Tamaraw Dropside DJ booth will be featuring DJ sets from Waff, Roy De Borja, Okami, Average Bri, Nix Damn P! and J Dope. While on September 13, Okami, ADMV, Michiko, Nix Damn P!, Butta B, and Yela Renee will cap off the event with their performances.
A Tamaraw Food Truck will also be deployed at the fair in support of Waves For Water, demonstrating another way the vehicle can be converted into not only functional mobile business space but a medium for spreading a business’ advocacy.
Eventgoers of the Diecast Car Collectors of the Philippines (DCPH) Grandparents Day Pit Stop will also have the chance to see a Tamaraw GL Dropside. The growing diecast community in the Philippines has also shown interest in the Next Generation Tamaraw, due to its modular and adaptable nature as a vehicle not only for business but also for artistic expression and leisure.
See the Next Generation Tamaraw and its different variants and conversions at AFEX on September 9-12 at the World Trade Center and PURVEYR Fair on September 12-13 at the World Trade Center Tent. Enabling more responsive public service across the province through efficient government operations
PLDT Enterprise and the Province of Cebu formalize their partnership to support digital governance through enhanced connectivity and collaboration solutions. (L–R): Ms. Hazel Amoyan and Mr. Jay Lagdameo of PLDT Enterprise with Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro of Cebu Province and Atty. Joseph “Ace” Durano, Provincial Administrator of Cebu Province
Cebu, Philippines — The Province of Cebu is advancing its digital transformation efforts through its partnership with PLDT Enterprise, adopting solutions designed to strengthen connectivity, improve workforce collaboration, and support more efficient and responsive public service delivery.
The recently formalized partnership highlights how digital infrastructure can help local governments modernize operations and better serve their constituents. As one of the country’s oldest provinces and a first-class province in Central Visayas, Cebu continues to
pursue initiatives that strengthen governance and public service delivery, with PLDT Enterprise supporting this direction through reliable and scalable digital solutions.
Cebu Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro emphasized the importance of boosting digital capabilities. "This collaboration underscores Cebu’s continued effort to modernize government systems and adopt digital tools that support better service delivery across the province. As the Province of Cebu continues its digital transformation journey, the partnership with PLDT Enterprise reflects a shared vision of using technology to improve how government works—making public services more connected, productive, and responsive to the needs of the people.”
A Government & Private Sector Push for Collaboration, Innovation, and Technology
A major step in this direction was the enactment of the Cebu Province Digital Services Act of 2025, which established a province-wide digital services framework aimed at streamlining government transactions, strengthening data protection, and improving the quality and accessibility of public services.
Complementing this initiative is the creation of the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Council (PICTC), the province’s policy-making and coordinating body for ICT development.
In support of these digitalization efforts, the Province of Cebu has adopted several PLDT Enterprise solutions, including iGate connectivity, Smart Corporate Lines, and Microsoft 365 which was deployed and enabled by PLDT Group’s ICT subsidiary, ePLDT. Together, these services provide the province with reliable, secure, and collaborative digital infrastructure that supports modern government operations, enhances workforce productivity, and enables more effective delivery of public services across Cebu.
“For a province as dynamic as Cebu, reliable digital infrastructure is essential to keeping public service moving,” said Javier Lagdameo, PLDT Vice President & Head, Domestic Enterprise Business, Regional & Commercial. “Through this partnership, we are helping provide the connectivity and collaboration tools that allow government teams to work more seamlessly, serve constituents more efficiently, and build a stronger foundation for Cebu’s continued growth."
Reliable high-speed connectivity through iGate supports continuity and stable access to digital services, while Microsoft 365 provides a comprehensive suite of tools designed to enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and boost productivity across teams.
“PLDT Enterprise remains strongly committed to supporting local governments as they build stronger digital foundations for governance and public service,” said Ma. Hazel Amoyan, CRM Head, PLDT Enterprise. “Through reliable connectivity, collaboration tools, and mobility solutions, we aim to help enable more efficient operations and more responsive service delivery for the Province of Cebu. Moving forward, we will continue to deliver and provide these kinds of innovative solutions and products to each and every province across the country.”
A commitment to empowering Cebu with secure, reliable, and future-ready digital infrastructure
The partnership reflects PLDT Enterprise’s continuing commitment to helping local governments build the digital capabilities needed for modern governance. In Cebu’s case, the focus is on providing secure, reliable, and future-ready digital infrastructure that can support both internal efficiency and citizen-facing services.
By strengthening connectivity and equipping teams with collaborative digital tools, the partnership is expected to contribute to faster coordination, more efficient government processes, and improved service responsiveness. The broader significance lies in how these technologies can help the Province of Cebu sustain its smart governance ambitions while supporting transparency, accessibility, and public trust in digital government services.

The nature-inspired drop arrives as Maya completes its transition, with all newly produced prepaid cards now made from 100% recycled plastic.
A playful take on bukadkad, the Filipino word that describes a flower in bloom, Bukad takes inspiration from the richness of Philippine nature. Filipino visual artist and illustrator Raxenne Maniquiz brings this to life through her signature colorful illustrations, filling the card with flowers, foliage, wildlife, and little details to discover every time you look.
That connection to nature goes beyond the design. The Maya Bukad Card is made from 100% recycled plastic, bringing more thought not just to how the card looks, but to what it’s made of.
And the Bukad Card isn’t the only Maya card getting a material rethink. Maya has now fully implemented its transition, with all newly produced wallet cards made from 100% recycled plastic. It’s a move away from virgin plastic and toward giving existing materials another life, without changing the security, durability and functionality people expect from their Maya cards.
Of course, the Maya Bukad Card is made to be used as much as it is meant to be noticed. Powered by Visa, it can be used for purchases and ATM withdrawals wherever Visa is accepted around the world. And when you spend locally in the Philippines, you get 1% cashback on all in-store and online purchases.
From Card to Scarf
And if you’re tempted to wear it, you can. For a limited time, the design goes beyond your wallet, too. Raxenne’s nature-inspired illustrations also make their way onto the limited-edition Bukad scarf, bringing the colors and details of the Maya Bukad Card into something you can wear and style your own way.
The limited-edition Bukad scarf will be available exclusively at PURVEYR Fair on September 12–13 at the World Trade Center Tent. Fairgoers who purchase the Maya Bukad Card for PHP 350 can take home a Bukad scarf for free.
Can’t make it to PURVEYR Fair? The special-edition Maya Bukad Card will also be available starting September 9 on the Maya app. To order yours, simply open the Maya app, head to the Cards tab, and order the Maya Bukad Card.
From the Philippine nature that inspired its design to the 100% recycled plastic it’s made from, the Maya Bukad Card brings together Filipino creativity and more conscious design in something you can carry—and use—every day.

This compact companion provides the freedom to be productive from any location.
- Innovative Form Factor: A unique folding mechanism transforms this pocket-sized companion into a comfortable mouse, reducing muscle strain by 22% compared to a laptop trackpad.
- Adaptive Touch Scrolling & Customization: Adaptive Scrolling and two customizable buttons provide precision, speed, and personalization.
- Ultimate Flexibility: Connects with up to three devices via Bluetooth® and works across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux.
- Ideal for On the Go: While 72% of professionals own a mouse, only 26% use one in public, a gap Mobi Fold bridges by offering a portable solution.
MANILA, August 25, 2026 – Logitech today solved a major pain point for traveling professionals with the introduction of Mobi Fold. As Logitech’s first foldable mouse, Mobi Fold is engineered to allow users to reclaim their full productivity potential with comfort, whether they are in an airport lounge, a bustling cafe, or a hotel lobby.
For the modern professional, work is no longer anchored to a desk. It happens in the "in-between" spaces. However, Logitech research reveals a frustrating reality: while 72% of professionals own a mouse, only 26% actually use one when working in public places. The primary barriers aren't a lack of desire for precision and comfort, but rather the "bulk and friction" of traditional tools that don't fit into a pocket or are too heavy for a bag. This “On-the-Go Productivity Gap” forces millions to rely on restrictive laptop trackpads, slowing down workflows and increasing frustration.
“For Filipino professionals who navigate between different workspaces, a mouse should be something you can bring along without having to think twice about it,” shared Sally Yu, Head of Distribution and Retail at Logitech Philippines. “By folding to nearly half its size and reducing muscle strain by 22% compared to a laptop trackpad, Mobi Fold makes it easier to take a comfortable mouse experience with you, without the bulk of a traditional mouse."
The experience of using Mobi Fold is designed to be entirely frictionless. The ritual of starting work is now as simple as a single motion: a unique folding mechanism seamlessly transforms this pocket-sized companion into a comfortable mouse, automatically powering on when opened and turning off when folded to preserve battery life. Whether you are navigating massive spreadsheets with line-by-line precision or gliding through long documents hyper-fast, the Adaptive Touch Scrolling provides the desired accuracy. For power users, the two customizable buttons on the touch panel can be personalized via the Logi Options+ App to trigger shortcuts like switching applications or taking screenshots instantly.
To ensure productivity never stops, Mobi Fold is built for ultimate versatility. It connects with up to three devices via Bluetooth (or the included Logi Bolt receiver with Mobi Fold for Business), allowing for seamless switching across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux. To ensure focus in shared environments, the device features quiet-clicks, turning any cafe or quiet library into a private office. It is built for the rigors of the road, drop-tested, wrapped in a dust-resistant silicone sleeve, and with an internal hinge tested to withstand 15 years of daily use.
Personal Style in Every Setting
Designed to complement modern aesthetics, Mobi Fold ensures that professional setups never compromise on personal style. Available in three distinct colorways globally, users can express their personality with an intuitive design in classic Graphite, a Lilac that adds a pop of color to creative workspaces, or a clean and minimalist Off-White look that fits with any environment.
Key Benefits at a Glance:
- Ready in a heartbeat: Automatic power-on when unfolded and power-off when closed.
- Built to last: A drop-tested, dust-resistant exterior and a 15-year rated hinge built for the road.
- Power for the long haul: A 1-minute charge provides 22 hours of use, and up to 30 days of use with a full charge, ensuring you are always ready for the day.
- Total focus: Quiet-clicks allow for high productivity without distracting those around you.
- Close with confidence: The on-device AI model helps prevent unintentional clicks when folding.
- Fast Pair for Google users: The first Logitech input device to be Fast Pair Certified, enabling instant connection with compatible devices.
Designed for Sustainability
Mobi Fold is designed with thoughtful choices to reduce environmental impact. Made with certified post-consumer recycled plastic (up to 36% in Graphite models) and with magnets that contain 100% post-consumer recycled rare earth metal, as well as FSC-certified paper packaging, Logitech is helping to conserve finite resources and preserve them for future generations.
Mobi Fold for Business
Optimized for professional environments, Mobi Fold is compatible with multiple operating systems and includes a two-year limited hardware warranty, a Logi Bolt USB-C receiver for reliable and secure wireless connections, and Sync support for streamlined IT monitoring.
Pricing and Availability
The Mobi Fold is available in Graphite and Off-white color variants in select markets and retails for PHP 5,795 on Shopee, Lazada, and Logitech’s authorized retail partners. MANILA, Philippines -- Did you know that improper appliance use can lead to higher electrical bills?
“During this time when prices are on the rise, it is important to be smarter with our choices -- from choosing the right appliances to using them more efficiently. Habit changes, no matter how small, can eventually lead to bigger savings and we all need to do that during these times,” said Cherish Ong-Chua, VP for Finance and Marketing of Hanabishi Appliances.
Below, Hanabishi shares how we can use our appliances more efficiently, hence lowering our power consumption and even prolonging our appliances’ life.
1. Avoid incorrect fan size and placement.
Fans are the go-to appliances of many Filipino families to stay cool as they consume less electricity and are far more simpler to use than AC units. However, not many of us know how to best use them. For example, did you know that the right size matters for your fan to work more efficiently? Desk fans would hardly work in a medium or bigger-sized room. Stand fans would be a better choice as they can help circulate air more efficiently in a bigger room. If you’re looking to buy a new one for your home, there’s the Hanabishi Stand Fan with DC Motor HDC 16WHT can give you up to 40% energy savings.
To further a fan’s cooling function, place them in areas that would allow them to circulate air across the room. Placing them near open windows would also help.
2. Use coolers as alternatives to AC units.
For those who want something stronger than a fan but still energy-efficient, the Hanabishi Air Cooler HAC900 is a great alternative. Air coolers use water evaporation to lower temperatures, consuming far less electricity than traditional AC units, and this Hanabishi product has a 10-liter water tank capacity, honeycomb filter, and ionizer that can deliver up to 12.5 m/s wind speeds. It also comes with a remote controller and has a built-in 24-hour timer. For an even cooler air, you can place ice in the water tank.
3. Pair your AC unit with a fan or cooler.
If you really need to keep your air-conditioning on, you can cut costs by running a fan or an air cooler alongside it. If you have a bigger room, choose a tower fan for better cooling efficiency. The added airflow helps circulate the cold more evenly, so that your room cools faster and your AC unit doesn’t have to work harder or longer.
4. Choose refrigerators with inverter technology.
Another appliance that we can’t do without is the refrigerator. It runs 24/7, so choosing an energy-efficient model is crucial. The Hanabishi Double Door Refrigerator HADDREF78SSINV is designed with inverter technology, which adjusts power consumption based on cooling demand. This also helps preserve food more consistently.
5. Avoid overloading your refrigerator.
Refrigerators perform best when the air inside them can circulate freely, so packing them too tightly can block airflow. This also makes them work harder, driving up your electricity consumption and increase your monthly bill, so keep items organized and properly spaced.
6. Use cooking appliances with less energy waste.
Induction technology heats cookware faster, reducing cooking time. This means that you use less electricity compared to traditional electric or gas stoves. If you don’t have an induction cooker in your kitchen yet, the Hanabishi Twin Induction Cooker HIC400TWIN would be a good investment as it provides 80% more cooking efficiency.
Another energy-saving cooking appliance is the rice cooker, which has a low power consumption. Make sure that you choose a reliable model, though, to ensure consistent performance. A great option is the Hanabishi White Jar Type Rice Cooker 1.8L HJC18WHT, which has a 1.8-liter capacity that can serve up to 10 persons. You can also maximize its use by cooking dishes other than rice in it. You can search for recipes using the rice cooker online.
7. Regularly clean your appliances.
Dust and grease can build up on your appliances over time, reducing their efficiency and making them work harder. This extra effort increases electricity consumption and leads to higher utility bills, so make sure you keep your fans, air coolers, refrigerators, and cooking appliances free of dirt all the time.
“Energy efficiency is about doing things smarter and consistently. With a few simple habit changes, you can keep your utility bills under control,” Ong-Chua stressed.
