Women Swear by This Miracle Hair Conditioner and Never Looked Back

Thursday, September 17, 2020

Maintaining healthy, shiny, and gorgeous hair means constant work and everyday care. Many of us spend most of our lives trying to find the right conditioner that matches our hair needs, but oftentimes, we find that something is missing. Your conditioner’s promise to last all day may only last for a few hours before tiny strands of hair start popping out; it’s the dreaded tutchang coming out of nowhere. So, you’re left with just a frizzy, sticky mess — and its only mid-day.

Time to Switch It Up

If you’re struggling to maintain great hair, you’re definitely not alone! A lot of women who are disappointed by their current conditioner have already made the switch, and they never looked back. You can join them by bringing salon-level smoothness to your hair with the Pantene Collagen Miracle Intensive Serum Conditioner. Stressed about your current conditioner not smoothening your hair enough? Diane has “Tried it and it's super effective, ang soft ng hair ko and I can see lesser hair fall.” Nicole just doesn’t love how her hair turned out but also loves how it smells great as well. “It’s really good to use in the hair, my hair is so soft, and it smells so good.” Like Diane, Kat is just as happy with how her hair has turned out after using Pantene Collagen Miracle Intensive Serum Conditioner. “I’ve been waiting to hoard this!! Super bango at malambot talaga sa buhok!”

Even Hannah who has bleached hair was able to get rid of her unruly tutchang when she switched to Pantene. “I used it on my bleached hair. It's really soft and silky in hair. No more tutchang!”

From Halloween look to summer vibes, Sarah just can’t get enough of her seasonal hair upgrade. “I love this product! Lumambot naman hair ko — from Halloween bruhahaha, now beach waves na ang peg ng buhok ko.”

While going to the salon isn’t as safe as it used to be, Melissa found Pantene to treat her to an at-home hair spa treatment. “Ang ganda niya sa buhok. Nakakalambot talaga. At dahil pandemic ngayon mahirap mag pa-salon, kaya isa ito sa marerecommend ko na product together with the Pantene Collagen Treatment Shots.”

When There’s A Will, There’s A Collagen Miracle Way If you’re looking for the solution to tutchang, and your current conditioner just can’t keep your hair looking healthy and smooth any longer, it’s time to switch it up. And we’ve got just the right conditioner for your hair frustrations. Look no further than the Pantene Collagen Miracle Intensive Serum Conditioner!

Unlike conventional conditioners, Pantene Collagen Miracle Intensive Serum Conditioner smartly targets damaged areas of each hair strand, forming a protective layer around the rough hair with Collagen adding an extra layer of strength through a triple helix scaffolding. This makes it more resilient against breakage from external causes of damage so you can achieve stronger strands.

Compared to other collagen-based conditioners, the Pantene Collagen Miracle Intensive Serum Conditioner has real collagen that can bring back the natural strength of your strands. It’s formulated with a blend of Pro-Vitamin B5, miracle serum, and real collagen — sealing in nutrients and locking in moisture, turning dry, frizzy hair into shiny, smoother hair every day. Pictured above, top to bottom: Anne Curtis, Gabbi Garcia, Kylie Verzosa, and Sofia Andres. Four of the many Filipinas that switched, and stayed away from tutchang after using the Pantene Miracle Collagen Intensive Serum Conditioner. It’s never too late to join the several Filipina women who have now found the perfect conditioner for their hair problems after years of trial and errors. Bring back life to your dry, frizzy, and parched hair and treat it to an at-home salon hair spa treatment with Pantene Miracle Collagen Intensive Serum Conditioner. You can conveniently buy Pantene products, and have them delivered to your home when you shop through Lazada and Shopee.

Prestone, J&T Express delivers laptops for “Anak Ng Mekaniko” Scholars

Pasig City, Philippines—September 14,2020—Prestone Philippines, the leading innovator of cutting-edge coolants and brake fluids, provided laptops to the nine recipients of the Anak Ng Mekaniko Scholarship Program.

The distribution of the laptops is in response to the way education will be conducted in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Education officials have announced the implementation of a distance learning approach as the new normal. Regular face-to-face classes are suspended indefinitely for this school year to ensure the safety of the students as the country struggles with the health crisis.

“Three years ago, we made a promise to these nine scholars that Prestone will always be here to help them reach their dreams through education. And in these uncertain times, we understand that safety must come above all else. As they start their academic year through distance learning, we hope that these laptops will be an instrument that can help them in their studies,” said Monique Gonzales, Brand Manager of Prestone Philippines.

The laptops come as additional benefits of the program together with tuition for the four-year course and a monthly allowance. In partnership with J&T Express, a leading e-commerce delivery service provider in Southeast Asia, the laptops were recently delivered to the nine scholars, who are now on their third-year students at the STI Colleges in their respective towns and provinces.

“As a delivery service provider, J&T Express believes in the power of “Bayanihan.” May this simple act of helping Prestone deliver these important learning tools inspire the nine Anak ng Mekaniko scholars as they journey towards their academic success despite the current challenges posed by the pandemic,” Zoe Chi, Vice President of J&T Express Philippines, said.

The nine Anak ng Mekaniko scholars are Edmajea Aguinaldo from Makati City, Anna Dela Cruz and Harvey Plazo from Camarines Sur, Christian Diamante from Misamis Oriental, Aulinda Buban and Keith Perez from Antipolo City, Joselito Peñada from Leyte, Melver Masangkay from Batangas, and Jaime Abesamis from Davao City.

Prestone initiated the search for Anak ng Mekaniko Scholarship Program in 2017, as a way of giving back to the unsung heroes, the local auto mechanics, nationwide. Nine scholars, with inspiring stories, were chosen from among hundreds of applicants.

Jollibee Group Continues Food Donations to Frontliners

Monday, September 14, 2020

More support for frontline heroes. In August, Jollibee Group brands Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, and Mang Inasal sent meals to some 300 hospitals around the country in support of the health care workers leading the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Jollibee Group continues to support frontline health workers responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by donating meals from its brands to about 300 hospitals around the country in August 2020. Health care workers have received food packs from Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, and Mang Inasal.
The Jollibee Group recognizes that our medical frontliners have made tremendous sacrifice in the past months. The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic gets tougher as days go by. Providing them meals to enjoy is a way to refresh their tired bodies and refuel their heroic efforts. We are more than grateful for what they are doing for our countrymen,” said Jollibee Group Foundation Executive Director Gisela Tiongson.

Sobrang nakakaboost ng morale at nakakataba ng puso na mayroong kompanya na tumutulong sa aming mga frontliners (It really boosts our morale and warms our hearts that there are companies that send support to us frontliners,)” said Melagros Ancheta, a staff at the Veterans Medical Memorial Center who received food packs from Greenwich Pizza.

According to Dr. Medina Magbitang, “Your donation made us feel that you are one with us in this fight against the pandemic. (We) truly appreciate your sense of generosity to our frontliners.” Dr. Magbitang is the Medical Director of M.S. Magbitang Hospital of San Ildefonso in Bulacan. The hospital received Mang Inasal meals for their frontline staff.

As of August 2020, the Jollibee Group has mobilized a total of P268-million worth of food packs that have benefited some 4.3 million people in communities and served 1.5 million meals to frontline health and checkpoint personnel. Of this, the company donated P227 million, while the additional P41 million came from business partners, other corporate foundations, and the general public through the Jollibee Group FoodAID Coin Bank.

The public can continue to support the Jollibee Group FoodAID Program to help feed more frontliners and families in need. Interested donors may donate through online bank transfer to the Foundation’s Metrobank (Acct. No: 473-7-473-01406-4; Swift Code: MBTCPHMM) and RCBC (Acct. No. 1253-10519-0) accounts, or via PayMaya (http://pymy.co/jollibee).

GCredit transforms borrowers to business owners amid pandemic

As the country plunges into a technical recession, GCash, the undisputed leader and preferred mobile wallet in the Philippines, has helped enhance the lives of entrepreneurial Filipinos by providing them with flexible financing deals that jump-started their now-thriving business.

Through GCredit, Filipinos have found a new way to fund their entrepreneurial ideas. A special feature in the GCash app, GCredit functions like a flexible loan or credit card. It can be used to shop with QR partner merchants or even to pay utility bills.

During the pandemic, GCredit became more than just an extender of budgets--it provided hope to ordinary Filipinos by giving them an accessible credit line to secure loans to shoulder different needs, from as simple as buying supplies for a sari-sari store to set up their own establishments.

GCredit has helped over 175,000 small merchants and online sellers gain access to funding for their businesses, disbursing over P1.7 billion in loans to date to small business owners.

Jason Arevalo, 24, said that his using the credit line has made a positive impact on his life. As both a sales clerk and a part-time online seller, the safety net provided by GCredit frees him from worrying about running out of money.

“While I save some of my profits, I usually use the money I make online as capital. When I run out of money for my daily needs such as groceries, GCredit is always there to help,” he said.

Gonzales Carmela, a sari-sari store owner, prefers GCredit over other ways of accessing a credit line because it does not make her dependent on other people. Instead of borrowing money from her friends and family, she can simply make use of her own credit limit instead and even work towards expanding its maximum.

Aside from using this feature to improve their business, merchants also turn to GCredit when it comes to family expenses.

“I can use GCredit to pay bills, groceries, and gas. Once, I even used it to buy school supplies for my child,” said Marly Cortes, a rent-a-van business owner.

Like Cortes, Margarita Alunam also uses this feature as an extension of her monthly budget. As an online seller, having an accessible credit line also allows her to keep a revolving fund.

“My family was really happy about this feature when I told them how much it helped me. In fact, they also said they’d be using GCredit for their next expenses,” she said.

Needless to say, GCredit has inspired many Filipinos to start their own enterprise despite the bleak economic landscape brought by the pandemic.

“It’s easy to access and easy to understand. During times like this, GCash is always happy to have at least helped alleviate the burden of ordinary Filipinos by coming up with new ways to secure them financially,” GCash President Martha Sazon said.

Globe Fintech Innovations Inc. (Mynt), which operates GCash, is part of the portfolio companies of 917Ventures, the largest corporate incubator in the Philippines wholly-owned by Globe Telecom Inc.

GCash is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. For more information, kindly visit https://www.gcash.com/.

REBISCO aids DepEd on continued learning during the pandemic

Manila, Philippines, September 14, 2020 – Keeping the Filipino bayanihan spirit alive, the Republic Biscuit Corporation (REBISCO) recently launched new programs to aid the continued education of school children during the pandemic. As the Department of Education (DepEd) pushes for online learning at home to curb the spread of the virus, REBISCO has come up with a series of learning materials in various formats that both educators and students can use.

Supplementary Learning Kits

Last July, REBISCO began its distribution of supplementary learning kits to 240 public schools in NCR. The kit contains school materials such as pencils, crayons, and other basic school supplies. According to Quezon City, Pasay, and Las Piñas school divisions, REBISCO is the first private stakeholder to respond to DepEd’s “Bayanihan Para Sa Paaralan” which seeks for support from private sectors in producing modified learning materials fit for home education. As the effects of the global pandemic were utterly unexpected, support from private entities are very crucial in accomplishing all planned activities for restructuring and reorganizing the education system to cope with the changes.

Activity Worksheets

Supplementary activity worksheets were also produced by REBISCO and will be incorporated into the printed modules that the DepEd will distribute to students once the school year officially starts on October 5. These will reach 351 thousand learners from the early grade.

Instructional Videos For Teachers, Parents, and Learners

REBISCO is also instrumental in producing instructional videos to help educators navigate the new technologies to be used in virtual teaching. The two video materials are for DepEd Commons and DepEd LMS.

The DepEd Commons is an online library portal of learning materials accessible to public and private school students from Kinder up to Grade 12.

The DepEd LMS is a virtual classroom where educators can facilitate the class and check

real-time activities, among others.

Instructional Videos For Students

REBISCO is also leading in the production of branded video materials that can further reinforce learning among young grade schoolers. These videos will be made available on DepEd’s website https://commons.deped.gov.ph/ and will include the following instructional videos for students: REBISCO Hand Eatiquette, Topps SarapBalikEskwela tips, Frootees’ The Frooteam, and The Hanchies from Hansel Sandwich.

“For many years, REBISCO has enjoyed the untiring patronage of Filipino consumers, particularly the parents whose children would often bring our products to school as their baon. During this time when kids are forced to stay home and miss out on the learning opportunities, they can only get from attending school, we felt the need to help so our children can continue their development. Through these supplementary materials that we have provided the DepEd, we hope that our school children will be inspired to continue their quest for learning and education and be motivated to strive and do well even under challenging circumstances,” said Rey Delos Reyes, Rebisco’s Senior Vice President for Marketing.

To access the supplementary learning materials from REBISCO, visit the DepEd’s official website at www.deped.gov.ph, and social media accounts: Facebook (DepEd Philippines), Instagram (@depedphilippines), and Twitter (@DepEd_PH).

Canva for Education announces an exclusive Care Bears™ collection to empower teachers with resources to nurture students through social emotional learning

Saturday, September 12, 2020

Manila, Philippines - Global online design platform Canva, in partnership with The Care Bears brand owner Cloudco Entertainment, announces the immediate release of a collection of Care Bears™ templates exclusively for its Canva for Education community; a collection which further encourages and inspires creativity and connection in the classroom - in both a virtual and physical environment.

Online classes will be the major learning delivery method for the majority of academic institutions across the Philippines. With the traditional face-to-face setup pinned to the side, Filipino educators are adapting to new ways of teaching, rethinking how to provide students with meaningful social-emotional learning tools, as well as ways to keep students engaged.
The Care Bears collection, exclusive to the Canva for Education community, includes:

  • Educational worksheets to enhance engagement in the classroom and reach key learning goals;
  • Creative and fun ice-breaker activities;
  • Wellness activities focusing on social-emotional development; plus
  • Care Bears Classroom kits, providing teachers with a touch of magic to bring any classroom to life.

Carly Daff, Canva for Education’s Director of Product, said collaborating with such a global and nostalgic brand was a coup for the organization’s core education audience, because the Care Bear characters and what they stand for perfectly aligns with Canva’s values.
So far, 2020 is fast becoming one of the most unsettling years for humanity. Now more than ever, we need to take a proactive stance to ensure our kids are being taught how to recognize and express their emotions, manage stress, as well as learn how to care for themselves and have compassion for others,” explained Daff.
The loveable Care Bears characters empower teachers to help students address their social and emotional development with characters we all know and love. This all-new collection contains vital resources that can be used in a physical or virtual setting, perfect for encouraging connection and creativity in the classroom,” she further stated.
Dr. Vanessa Lapointe, a registered psychologist with a focus in working with children and families, as well as an ambassador for the Care Bears and Canva for Education partnership, explains the importance of social-emotional learning in schools today.

Social-emotional learning provides educators with an “open portal” to the heart and mind of a child,” said Dr. Lapointe. “This in turn, gives us the ability to shape the growing brain from within in a more meaningful and effective way; it’s an approach that goes a long way towards helping kids become more available to learning. The Care Bears templates are a fun and engaging way to kick off a meaningful conversation with students - it helps break the ice and can be used again and again to check in with them and gain a better understanding of their current state of mind,” furthered Dr. Lapointe.
As we continue to prepare for this year’s balik eskwela, we at Canva are excited to share the Care Bear collection to Filipino educators who use Canva for Education in their classes. We hope to spread positivity to young learners, and instill the importance of being in-touch with their emotions and feelings, while also understanding the value of caring for others through a fun learning experience,” said Yani Hornilla-Donato, Canva Philippines Country Head.

Kristeen Tibbits, Care Bears’ Head of Marketing, added, “Our desire for positivity fuels today’s focus on personal growth and evolution. We’re craving sunshine and rainbows - even when we’re feeling blue. That’s what the The Care Bears offer. We couldn’t be more excited to bring these messages to children and their education just when they need it most,” concluded Tibbits.
