With its acquisition by DMCI Holdings, Concreat Holdings Philippines (CHP) is entering a new era of innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth. Backed by the Consunji Group’s engineering and construction expertise, Concreat is strengthening its position as a trusted cement manufacturer through operational improvements, reliable distribution, and the enduring strength of its heritage brands Rizal, APO, and Island Cement.

The transition from Cemex Holdings Philippines to Concreat Holdings Philippines (CHP) marks a significant shift in the industry. Now under the leadership of DMCI, Concreat is redefining what it means to build for the future, combining heritage and reliability with efficiency and discipline.

DMCI Holdings, one of the country’s leading construction and engineering conglomerates, is bringing its hallmark discipline and operational excellence to Concreat’s operations. More than a change in ownership, this strategic acquisition is a clear signal of renewed confidence in the local cement manufacturing industry.

Strengthening efficiency and reliability

As a member of the DMCI Group, Concreat has focused on operational efficiency and business resilience. As such, Concreat is ramping up capacity through its new production line at the Solid Cement plant in Antipolo, Rizal, bringing its total annual plant capacity to 7.2 million tons (MT), a 26% increase from its previous capacity. This supports the growing demand for construction materials across Luzon, fueling the country’s ongoing infrastructure and housing developments.

Another key milestone was the inauguration of its 20 new trucks, part of Concreat’s logistics upgrade aimed at improving supply chain reliability and delivery turnaround times.

These trucks, which will serve the Solid Cement plant in Antipolo, signal Concreat’s clear commitment to serving customers better. By modernizing its logistics fleet, Concreat is ensuring that distributors, retailers, and contractors receive their materials faster, more efficiently, and with reduced downtime.

Honoring legacy, building the future

While Concreat represents a fresh identity, its foundation rests on three time-honored brands: Rizal Cement, APO Cement, and Island Cement. These brands have been household names for decades, trusted by generations of builders and homeowners for their consistent quality and performance.

Unified under the Concreat banner, these heritage brands embody the company’s promise of “building with strength”. Whether it’s for large-scale infrastructure projects or residential developments, Concreat ensures that every bag of cement contributes to a stronger, safer, and more sustainable Philippines.

In reintroducing itself to the market, Concreat also underscores its continuity. The products remain familiar and dependable – only now, they are supported by DMCI’s long-term vision and technical expertise.

A commitment to environmental stewardship

Beyond efficiency and quality, Concreat is charting a greener course for cement manufacturing in the Philippines. Its Solid Cement plant in Antipolo has been consistently recognized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) for its innovative waste management solutions, including waste-to-energy co-processing.

This recognition reflects Concreat’s sustained efforts to manage its environmental impact through cleaner production technologies, responsible waste management, and community-driven initiatives.

The company has over 40 local government units (LGUs) as partners in addressing waste problem in the country, through recovery, management, recycling, and sustainable disposal and diversion of residual waste.

Additionally, the company works closely with CDO Foodsphere and the local government unit (LGUs) of Binangonan, Rizal, to promote proper waste segregation and recycling practices, as well as conduct coastal and community clean-up drives.

Concreat also continues to expand its co-processing initiatives, using alternative fuels and raw materials in cement production to minimize landfill waste and lower carbon emissions. By integrating sustainability into our operations, Concreat is proving that growth and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

Investing in people and communities

At Concreat, progress is measured not just by the tons of cement produced, but by the people it serves. Through its education, livelihood, and community-building programs, Concreat continues to play an active role in nation-building.

In Naga City, Cebu, Concreat helped launch the Lemongrass Calamansi (LECA) Juice Livelihood Project with the Tinaan Neighborhood Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TNMPC). The initiative provided a production facility, equipment, and training, helping the cooperative grow from 20 members to nearly 100, and its products are now sold locally and at the APO Cement Plant canteen.

Another notable example is the company’s “Aral Tayo Antipolo” program, a literacy and livelihood initiative launched in partnership with the City of Antipolo, the Department of Education, and Chalkboard, Inc. The program aims to strengthen early-grade literacy among learners from Grades 1 to 3, all while providing meaningful opportunities for local educators.

Such initiatives demonstrate Concreat’s belief that building communities starts with empowering people. Whether through infrastructure, education, or livelihood, Concreat is committed to creating long-term value that extends beyond its business operations.

A forward-looking vision under DMCI

Under DMCI, Concreat is well-positioned to capitalize on the Philippines’ infrastructure needs and demand for construction materials. The Consunji Group’s proven expertise in construction, real estate, and energy complements Concreat’s production and distribution strengths, creating powerful engines for growth.

Moving forward, Concreat aims to further optimize its production lines, enhance distribution networks, and expand its sustainability programs. The goal is to deliver top-quality cement products efficiently, responsibly, and consistently, cementing its reputation as a trusted leader in the industry.

Amid the shifting dynamics of the cement industry, Concreat stands as a symbol of transformation done right, one that honors its past while embracing the future with purpose and innovation.
